Focus area

Community Healthcare, Water & Sanitation

Access to basic healthcare, clean water and improved sanitation, aimed at reducing health disparities in marginalised areas and creating healthier living conditions.

Access to basic healthcare, clean water and improved sanitation is at the forefront of our initiatives, aiming to reduce health disparities in marginalised areas and create healthier living conditions.

Health outcomes are also a direct product of how people earn. A significant part of this focus area therefore runs through our enterprise work: food safety standards as per Government of India guidelines in every food cluster we support, hygienic Common Facility Centres replacing roadside production beside open drains, and solar equipment removing the respiratory load of firewood from the women working over it.

Water, sanitation and hygiene is also one of the eight standing technology tracks at every RuTAG Smart Village Centre we operate, giving 15–20 surrounding villages a permanent point of access rather than a one-off camp.
