The situation

What we found

  • Rural technology interventions typically arrive as one-off training events and leave nothing behind.
  • Villages had no permanent point of access to appropriate technology or the people who can deploy it.
Our response

What we did

  • Established RSVCs under the RuTAGe mission at Panchayat level, co-located with Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samridhi Kendras.
  • Each centre covers eight tracks: agriculture and waste management, renewable energy, water, sanitation and hygiene, livelihood and entrepreneurship, affordable housing, FinTech and AR/VR, assistive technology, and custom solutions.
  • Deployed working technology on site — solar dryers, composting units, protected cultivation — rather than demonstrating it and removing it.
Outcome

What is different now

  • Five centres operating across Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Goa and Kerala.
  • Each centre serving 15–20 surrounding villages with multi-year technology support.
